Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the HEGEMON iOS application and website ("the App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

HEGEMON provides daily philosophical content, reading material, decision-support tools, and related features. The App offers free features and paid subscription tiers.

2. Subscriptions

The App offers auto-renewable subscriptions ("The Library", "The System") and a one-time lifetime purchase:

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings
• No refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription period; refund requests are handled by Apple per their policies

3. Intellectual Property

All content in the App - including the book "The Quiet Heart and the Tough Armor", Daily Dispatches, character profiles, protocols, and design - is owned by HEGEMON or its licensors and protected by copyright law.

You receive a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access the content for personal use. You may not copy, distribute, resell, or create derivative works from the content. Share Cards generated in the App may be shared for personal, non-commercial purposes.

4. Not Medical or Psychological Advice

The App provides philosophical and educational content only. It is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The Emergency Protocol feature is a self-regulation tool, not a crisis service. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, contact local emergency services or a crisis hotline.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the App's source code or encrypted content
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Circumvent subscription or content protections

6. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your license to the content ends.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HEGEMON shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict of law principles.
